The core teachers are colleagues who went to the same high school, graduated from the same university, worked on the same field, and saw the same vision for an ESL school. It started with an idea that went into full motion in June 2019.
We started OGMA only with our old laptops and the experience we've gained through our years of teaching in schools and in freelancing. That year, we had 32 students enrolled.
A new core teacher joined, and we were able to establish systems that we use to this day. We've also created exclusive books to use for our speaking classes, both for beginner and intermediate students.
During the pandemic, we've experienced a lull. However, we've decided to continue with the school despite the challenges.
We have undergone big changes. The number of students increased, and we had to hire new teachers to join our team. We also had some changes in our core team. We welcomed all these changes with great gratitude.
We will continue to improve our services in hopes of extending assistance and opportunities to both our teachers and students.
The main purpose of language is to communicate your ideas, feelings, and emotions. While learning the forms and structures of English is important, it is more meaningful to learn the language through real-life interactions. OGMA aims to promote communicative approach to learning as a means to help students acquire fluency and confidence in using the language.
